Best GTM stack to turn your outbound into a rocket

We're in an exciting era for outbound and inbound-led sales. Unlike before, building a great GTM stack no longer requires the most expensive tools.

Today, it's all about how your tools work together. The best part? You can create a powerful stack on any budget. Do it right and you’ll bring instant value to ALL your departments. The road to a modern GTM stack has 4 key checkpoints:

  1. How do you source customer data?

  2. Where will you store this customer data?

  3. What's your process for enriching, cleaning, and updating the data?

  4. How will you facilitate data flow between different tools?

To help you address these four key points, I've compiled a curated list of tools that will fuel your outbound campaigns.

Data sources:

  • LinkedIn is the go-to. Don't hesitate—get a Sales Navigator license. Learn to use search filters effectively and export leads to your outreach tool. Most people keep their info up-to-date here at all times.

  • With Ocean.io, you can enter your ideal customer's URL and unlock a list of lookalikes. This means you'll get higher-quality leads faster, which often translates to increased revenue in less time.

  • Among sales intelligence tools, Apollo stands out as the most reliable in my experience. It's accurate, fast, and easy to integrate. Plus, their support team is very helpful.

Data enrichment:

  • As you know, Clay is an insanely versatile tool. Your sales team can source and enrich leads from anywhere, and you can personalize anything you can think of. At the same time, your marketing and accounts team can use it to qualify inbound leads and push them to an appropriate sequence. Endless possibilities!

  • BetterContact is a tool that leverages 20+ sources to find valid emails and phone numbers. I've heard only good things.

  • LeadMagic represents another way you can validate, enrich, and clean your prospect data. It's very versatile and easy to plug into anything you want.

Buying signals:

  • You've heard me mention this tool before. RB2B helps you identify US visitors on your website, qualify them, get their LinkedIn profile, and push them to your LinkedIn outbound campaigns.

  • Trigify's main superpower is its ability to use relevant social signals at the right place at the right time.

  • Common Room allows you to keep close tabs on leads showing strong intent across multiple channels at once. It's a smart choice for any outbound professional.

Outreach:

  • I'm just going to say HeyReach. Yes, it's biased, but it really is a very powerful way to scale your LinkedIn outbound safely.

  • My go-to tool for cold email is Smartlead. Unlimited mailboxes and warmups, along with a unibox to handle all conversations in one place.

  • Instantly is probably the industry standard. What I appreciate about them the most is their innovativeness. For example, their latest deliverability features are… mindblowing.

  • Use lemlist if you want to go multichannel using one tool.

Personalization:

  • Leverage GPT with Clay to supercharge your outreach. Analyze your lead's website to pinpoint current challenges and craft tailored messages. Generate quick comparisons between you and your competitors. This is just scratching the surface—check out another example here.

  • Weezly's native integration with HeyReach lets you send personalized videos on LinkedIn at scale. It's a game-changer—simple to use, yet incredibly effective.

  • Use Twain to train AI to create messages about your product or service, tailored to your target audience.

As for CRMs, our go-to is HubSpot. It best fits our current operations and helps us cover everything—from qualifying inbound free trial sign-ups (we get 2,500 monthly) to categorizing them accordingly. If you're looking for alternatives, check out Folk, Breakcold, or Attio.
