Alright, alright, alright. This week's Outbound Alchemist is bringing you some interesting things:

  1. 6 scroll-stopping LinkedIn hooks I've collected

Lots to cover, let’s get cracking. 🔥

6 scroll-stopping LinkedIn hooks I've collected

My 2025 goal is to post more regularly on LinkedIn and X.

So naturally, I started gathering resources and ideas from various sources, particularly focusing on attention-grabbing intro hooks for LinkedIn posts.

Here are a few that I wanted to share with you:

  1. The "Mistake" hook

I made [number] BIG mistakes during [time] as [job].

These cost me [specific loss].

Here's how it works in the real world.

I made 3 BIG mistakes in year 1 of business.

(these lost me £155k+ and 417 hours…)

  1. The "Transformation" hook

How I went from [here] to [there].

For this transformation hook to work, make it relatable and relevant to your target audience. Adding proof makes it even more powerful.

How I went from squatting at my sister's 37m2 apartment to running a $300k+/year consultancy.

  1. The "Listicle" hook

Some of my favorite [popular topic].

1. [your tactic]

This works great for any popular topic you can back up with evidence. The format immediately shows readers it's a list-style post, but remember: your first item needs to be 🔥.

Some of my favorite automated GTM plays (so far):

1. Competitor displacement campaign w/ tech stack signal…

  1. The "Polarization" hook

You ignore [tactic/channel].

But that's how I [do what] before you:

The idea is to tease the rest of the post so that people feel like they must click "see more."

You ignore Reddit.

But that's how I find trends before you:

  1. The "Journalist" hook

I [did what] with [audience].

I gave them one job: [goal]

A very, very interesting (and successful) way to promote a lead gen post.

I locked 15 cold email experts in a room for 48 hours.

I gave them one job: write the ultimate guide to cold email.

  1. The "Winners" hook

In [time], I went from [before] to [after].

Without doing [what].

You can twist this in many directions… here's one such example:

In 44 months, I grew my startup from $0-$20m ARR. Here are the 8 biggest mistakes I made along the way (and the revenue levels where I made them):

One lesson I learned growing my LinkedIn is that you shouldn't blindly copy and paste templates. Instead, implement the key lessons while adding your personal touch. This makes your posts more authentic.

Plus, the more evidence you share, the more confidence you'll have to publish posts.

And if you top it all off by being relentlessly proactive in studying successful creators and analyzing their posts, you'll become a force to be reckoned with.

Anyway, that's my $0.02 and the way I try to play this game. Hope it gives you inspiration too. 🤘

12 meetings from 12 replies GTM campaign

Check out David's (Co-Founder of Automate rev.ops) numbers: 36 messages sent, 12 replies, and 12 meetings booked.

His approach focuses on building genuine relationships. He qualifies his LinkedIn connections through Clay and then contacts them via DMs.

What makes this strategy particularly effective is its high conversion rate from replies to booked meetings. David was kind to show us how he rolls! ⤵️

Gilbert's 8% conversion rate secret in B2B outreach

The standard benchmark for outbound conversion is 1-3%, statistically speaking.

Gilbert (COO @ Enablement.ch) is achieving an impressive 8% conversion rate. That's why it was mega interesting to see what's under his B2B outreach hood.

Multichannel outreach using Smartlead and HeyReach, powered by a bunch of other tools including Clay, Ocean, Teamfluence, etc.

Gilbert was super cool to reveal everything to us.

Boom, that’s a wrap.

Happy hunting,

Nick, CEO @HeyReach
